I can't believe it is almost March already--how time flies. And speaking of time flying, Chris is 18 today. Yikes--where did the time go!!
Work on ASRP is progressing--hopefully we will hear soon from KSU about their involvement. It is exciting to plan with other departments in the library--I think a unified summer reading theme will benefit us all. The films are scheduled and should be fun!

A new year and a new blog--
Tuesday, when I tried to get into my blog, Google was apparently having some issues and my passwords needed to be changed, which resulted in my "losing" my old blog--so here I am with a new blog.
I have completed the 23 things project--there are several of the sites I think will be valuable. I especially like our reference blog as a way to communicate--I like the give-and-take of ideas aspect of the blog as a way to not only pass along ideas but solicit opinions. I also think blogging is a great way to communicate in families that are spread around the country. I regularly look at some of the library blogs, especially KSU to see what's happening there. I also like our book blog on the MPL web site and think the reviews has been great--a wide variety of types of fiction and nonfiction to appeal to lots of readers.
I like librarything and flickr. I will use librarything more often--I need to get more organized before using flickr but see that this is a site that can make sharing photos more easy. Some of the social networking sites like facebook are not appealing to me but I can see how young people are interested, although I think too much personal information is out there.
I think the 23 things project was a great way for us to learn about some of the online tools being used by others and some of the new developments about how to use these in libraries.
